This Privacy Policy answers frequently asked questions regarding the manner in which Vica Digital Solutions Inc. (“Modern”) handles Personal Information
Safeguarding the Collection of Information
Modern takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that any information which is collected (please refer to Terms & Conditions) is safeguarded but assumes no responsibility for the information it has collected. All persons with whom Modern shares such information are bound to confidentiality.
Express and Deemed Consent
In the course of providing service to its users, Modern secures explicit consent from such users to the collection, use and disclosure of any information collected. If any information about an individual is provided to Modern by another person, that other person warrants that all required consents and authorizations have been secured.
Website Privacy
Modern collects information through its website when forms or email messages are sent. The Modern web server also uses cookies to track visitors. A cookie is a text record of a visit sent to a browser and placed on a hard drive that identifies some technical characteristics of that browser so that the Modern web server can remember information for future visits to the website. The Modern web server also creates a session (temporary) cookie, stored on the web server for the duration of each visit only, which tracks activities of the visitor while browsing; this information is discarded from the server when the visit ends. The Modern web server uses cookies and session cookies to record technical information that is anonymous and does not contain Personal Information. This information is compiled in the aggregate and may include the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the visitor, the domain of the visitor, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer used to access the website, the date, time and duration of the visit to the website, the pages visited on the website and the duration of each page visit. This information is collected to help Modern compile demographic information about the users who visit the website and to help Modern diagnose problems with its servers and in order to improve the design and features of the website.
“Personal Information” as reference in the preceding paragraph means any information about an identifiable individual, but does not include the name, title, business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization. Essentially, personal information is any information that identifies a person or by which the identity of a person could be deduced, including such information as address, age, name, gender, ID numbers, income and ethnic origin.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Modern reserves the right to change certain aspects of this Privacy Policy from time to time, but not anything that must remain the same in compliance with the law.
If, at any time, changes to this Privacy Policy are made, Modern will post such changes on its website and they will be made available upon request through the Modern Privacy Officer.
