Do I Need An iPad?
- Yes. The ModernXMark® app works exclusively on an iPad. After a user has downloaded the app and fulfilled the requirements (to set-up the account), they will be able to access the ModernXMark® Website dashboard platform from all devices. (Including: desktop and tablet.)

Are Electronic Signatures Legal?
- Electronic signature law in Canada uses an open model. This means that any e-signatures are legally binding unless the contrary was proven. (Not all documents, however, may qualify for the use of electronic signatures. Users are encouraged to ensure that laws pertaining to Electronic Commerce are followed)
- A digital signature is cryptographically secure and verifies that someone with a private signing key has seen the document and authorized it. An electronic signature is an image of your signature overlaid on top of a PDF document.
How Do I Sign a Digital Document?
You can sign any document in the signature field with the iPad stylus pen.
What Happens If the Server Goes Down?
If you require immediate assistance, please contact our customer support team. Always ensure that you download copies of your documents in case of loss/misplacement.
What Is My Storage Limit?
There are currently no storage limits for any ModernXMark® accounts.
What Personal Information Is Stored On ModernXMark®?
We store Law Firm name and transaction identification verification information. Also refer to Terms and Conditions.
What Languages Does ModernXMark® Support?
ModernXMark® currently supports English language.
What types of files can I upload to my account?
.word, .pdf and .excel.
Can Documents Be Edited?
Yes, documents can be edited.

Where Are My Documents Stored?
All documents are secured on an AWS server in Canada, with the highest security protocols in place to protect your sensitive information.
Can I Authorize Others To Access My Documents?
Yes, once a subscriber (Business) is created, users (Staff) within that subscriber can access documents and transactions created.
Do I Need To Create Offline Backups Of My Documents?
Yes. It is always recommended to create offline backups of all your documents and store them in a secure location.
What Happens To My Documents If I Cancel My Account?
Documents on the ModernXMark platform will be deleted.
How Do I Reset My Password?
Go to “Trouble Logging In? on the login page.
Does ModernXMark® have access to my documents?
No. (Though we do have access to client information, refer to Terms and Conditions)
What Do I Do If My Account Has Been Compromised?
If you think your account has been compromised, contact customer support immediately to have your password reset.
